| This shows the Res at low water with the swimming area
mostly empty. The stream at the top (North) is Munroe Brook from
Lexington which is the primary feed. Sickle Brook (to the
Southwest) drains Arlington's Great Meadow and flows below the Res's earthen dam to join the discharge from the Res to form Mill
Brook next to Drake Village. Mill Brook continues to flow along
the Southern and Southeastern edges of the Res before taking some right angle
turns around Colonial Village and Hurd Field and then crossing under and
paralleling the Bikeway. The actual dam area slated for repair and possible tree removal is along
the lower quarter of the Res above Sickle and Mill Brooks. For
